The Dragonfish! An amazingly AWESOME fish. Omg, they are the coolest. They live in the deepest parts of the ocean and have photopores (light organs) along their skin and a "lure", like an anglerfish. But these guys (more like gals, since the males are about 1/4 the size of the females) look like a real-life sea serpent. SO COOL.

To get inspiration, I thought about drawing an animal I've never drawn, as many of you suggested in my journal, and so I thought, "FISH!" And I looked through my humungo 700 page Animal Encyclopedia and found the Black Dragonfish. There were barely any ref photos that I could find when I searched on google, so I did the best I could :). They are SO COOL.

It felt so good to just draw again :D.

Yum yum yum fishy yum.
The lighting on the face is absolutely incredible. I wish there was a little more focus on the body, though... but it's probably just the blurriness of the bioluminescence fooling me into thinking everything is blurry there.

Ugh, animals with the word "dragon" in their name are always cool. XD Bearded Dragon, Komodo Dragon, Dragonfish... And just regular Dragons. ;D
