Finch Reference

Edit 6/1/06: changed around his personality a bit as well as some of the details of his story .

Yay, I decided on a design for Finch, my harpy-angel character . Also my first finalized "human" character (that I've draw a picture of and made a design for, I mean). Hooray. Anatomy is wayyy off here, I think. His torso is too long and shoulders too narrow and legs too short......BUTOHWELL. Wasn't going for accuracy here XD.
Oh, and on his back-pants reference, I drew the tail a lot smaller than it actually is so that you could see the pants XD;. So, go with the length on the main body ref, if anyone in the future is drawing him or something .

For background on his story, just know that my version of Harpies and Angels dislike each other. The angels in Finch's story have bird-of-prey wings (especially eagles) and look rather humanish, with no birdness except their wings. They live in the clouds 8D. The harpies have other-than-bird-of-prey wings and markings. Their hair is made of feathers and they have bird claws and talons and tails. And they have bird anatomy on their legs. And they live in canyons and crags and things like that .

Finch here is a mixture of the two, with non-bird-of-prey (Hawfinch, as seen here: [link] and [link] ) wings and bird feet/hands, but with human anatomy. His hair is hair, except for one curly feather. He has feathered ears like the harpies do but he has a halo like the angels x3.
Maybe sometime I'll draw a picture of my version of angels and harpies next to each other or something .

So, uh, yeah. His design IS rather complex....but I like it. I've never designed a human character before.....so it was interesting 8D. And the clothes.....well, not too original of a design, but I'm not very good at making up outfits xD. And the pants were inspired by a pair from Hot Topic 8D.
And man, it must be really uncomfy for him to kneel. 8D Good thing he has wings, so he doesn't need to. ;D
