A peacock made completely out of wire and soda cans 8D.
It was done in an art class (the project was to make a sculpture out of soda cans ). It was so much fun! 8D
It's probably about 1 1/3+ feet long, I'd guess, and ~1 1/2+ feet tall? I'll get exact measurements someday...and better photos (I haven't taken it home yet and the art room isn't exactly the best environment for photos, even after cropping out the background 8D;; ).
The steps to making this (in case anyone's curious) were to first make a wire skeleton, and keep wrapping with wire. That part was easy for me XD--it reminded me of my pipe cleaner stuff, just on a larger, more sharp scale XD.
Then I collected cans and cut them with an X-acto blade and scissors into a feathery shapes, and hot glued them on together.....for a long time. And....that's pretty much all it took! Oh, and the eye is a circle cut from a can and painted on with acyrlics.
I like how the use of color worked out . The black-and-blue pepsi cans REALLY mimic a peacock's coloring *o*. My art teacher + class thought that was the best part .
I have to say, my favorite part of this piece is the sprite logos as the tail feather design. I didn't notice them at first, but it was such a cute design aspect. I love it!

Great job!
