FINALLY, I'm done with my Phoenix of the Elements oekaki profile series (wow, long name xD)!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Here's the last one. This is the well-known phoenix of fire, also called the Firebird. He is commander over all that is flame. When his busy, hot-headed life is over, he soars into a volcano. When the volcano erupts, his ashes reform themselves into a new phoenix. Fire can always be reborn, as all that's needed is a little spark from nature or humans. This one here has just been reborn and shows off his majestic beauty in front of his "pyre."

Here's the other pictures from the series: (will be compiled together in one big ol' print x3)

Earth: [link]
Air: [link]

Comments are truly appreciated! :)
Time taken: 184 min (about 3 hrs x3)
Tools used: Paint BBS at the SROA
Series idea and all the pictures in the series (including this one) are © to me, "Kalico" Kat, 2005.
(Of course, the idea of an elementals series cannot be copyrighted by me--it's more the idea of the designs of all the phoenixes in the series. Also, since I've never seen an elemental phoenix series, I guess I'd like it if any credit of any phoenix inspired by these went to me...but I'm not so sure I can claim that xD)

Awesome. I like the volcano in the background, as well as the phoenix's bright red plumage. And have I ever told you that you have a way with avian eyes? Like in the one with the stellar jay that you did for your dad... that was amazing as well (the eye, I mean).

I'm sure everyone at the SROA looks up to you in some degree. After all, when I previewed the advanced SR, I just saw a bunch of crap doodles ^^; But it's unfair of me to be so judgemental when said people have passed the five-picture qualifier.

Congratulations on finishing the series. Here, have a Phoenix Down (no pun intended) to help revive yourself.

aww, thanks so much! :D

hehe, yeah, at SROA people love posting spam ^^;. To really see good pictures, you should view the archives :). My first two in this series were placed there n_n (but have since been deleted by an oekaki crash D: ). I was hoping that this one would be too, but....it hasn't been. -_-; Maybe it will later *doubtful*. Ah well. I have fun doing it and I finished the series! :3

xDDD *takes the phoenix down happily* :) I used to love the FF games....they were so much fun! :D Actually, it was SquareEnix (actually, it was enix...but since they've since merged...)'s Dragon Warrior series that introduced me to fantasy. Well, more like made me love it :D.

This is absolutely beautiful and so realistic! *_* The colour scheme is gorgeous with all those amazing crimson shades. What really drew my attention though was the eye - it's superb. I commend you on this one!
