I felt in the mood to paint a canvas tote bag~ So I got a $3 14" one and painted it with fabric acrylic-like paints =P. A hawfinch (oh ho ho what a coincidence that that's what my character Finch's markings are based on! ...harhar) with dandelions, music notes, balloons, and...colors.

I hate the straps it came with, so I'm going to replace them with ribbon or something soon. Maybe I'll edit this photo when I do so :D.

Sadly, I accidentally knocked over my dirty water cup, which spilled brown-purple water all over this. I was almost done, too ;___;. I did my best to fix it, and I think it worked out in the end...(the spilled water dyed most of the bag light purple-brown--starting at the top right, in case you wanted to know |D).
So, yep! There's a lot I could've done better here...but I bought 3 bags total, so I can try again at some point soon! :D

This looks really good! You should paint one of them like a Giger painting or a Pollock painting, both would look awesome!

That is just such a beautiful design, Kalico! I really love the colors you used and the beautiful background of it all. It's so harmonious and really joyfull. Honestly, I would have never noticed the spill had you not pointed it out. It's such a shame when something like that happens, but you did such a great job by drawing attention away from that, and just using color to bring the eye in. For the back, it would be great to see the pastelly colors repeat, with just a small hint of repetition from the front. Mabye a few notes, or just a stray balloon drifting away into the "spill" area, or something like that. I think it's a success though, overall!

gahh! I found the secret hearts!
and this is adorable. welldone. I don't mind the purple spill at all, i like how that part of the bag is partially colored now you know? :)
